This course is mandatory for all new hunters in BC. It is a basic introduction to hunting. CORE includes hunting ethics, regulations, basic first aid, basic survival, introduction to firearms, practical safe handling as well as animal and bird identification. The course involves about 16-20 hours of instruction, including gun handling. The minimum age for the course is 10. If you are wanting to enroll a child between ages 10 & 12 please give me a call first at 250-263-2934.
This course, once completed, will allow you to apply for a hunter number and then purchase hunting licenses. In order to successfully complete the course, students must score at least 75-77% on both the written and practical exams. The course fee of $200 includes the course manual and the two course exams.

The practical test takes 15-20 minutes and will be scheduled Saturday evening after the course.
Payment secures a spot in the course. If you need to cancel or change to a different date, please give at least 2 days notice. Cancelation within 24 hours of the course will not be refunded.
